I love how this collection was presented. The theatrical lighting and the darkness expose the clothes in such a beautiful, rich way. The bizarre touches – the nautical hats, striped socks, black leather clogs, exaggerated eyeliner – would look over the top if it weren’t for Jean Paul Gaultier‘s fashioning of such an opulent and tom-boyish collection. I like the jaunty JPG attitude that revels both in spectacle and in not taking itself too seriously.
